The art of architecture originated many centuries ago and has the same long history as humanity itself. Translated from the Latin, architecture means the art of creating projects and building various structures for them, which create a materially ordered territory that people need for a full life and work.
Architecture is often called frozen music, as it obeys the same mathematical laws as notes. The two main components of any artwork are the idea and its material representation. If the master managed to achieve a harmonious connection of these elements, then the result of his work will be really amazing and elegant.
Each stage of the development of human civilization has its own distinctive architectural style, which symbolizes a specific historical period, its main features, ideology and character. Architectural monuments are able to provide information about what was important in the life of people at the time of their construction, what was true beauty and art for them, what was the character of their life and much more.
The great civilizations of the past are very often associated with nothing more than the architectural creations that remained after them. For example, Egypt is known for its pyramids, China - the Great Wall of China, the Roman Empire left an architectural trace in history in the form of the majestic Colosseum and similar examples of a great many.
Each individual structure or their ensembles, avenues, parks, streets and squares, entire villages and cities cause people certain emotions, feelings and moods. This is due to the fact that the authors of architectural works have invested in them a certain idea and semantic information. Each building has a specific purpose, so its appearance should correspond to it and tune people in a certain way.
In the modern world in the era of rapid technical development, architects have a huge number of opportunities to realize the most ambitious designs and ideas, thanks to this, such architectural styles as modern and high-tech have appeared. They, unlike, for example, the ancient Romanesque direction or the controversial Baroque, are characterized by courage of decisions, variety of materials and brightness of ideas.
But, despite the emergence of new modern architectural trends, the old mansions, cathedrals and palaces, which are a symbol of the city or the country where they are located, will never lose their charm. Such buildings exist outside of time and always cause admiration and awe from true connoisseurs of architectural art.
