Classicism in interior design

Classicism is a fairly broad concept that includes several style variations at once. This is the classicism of the XVIII century, the era of the Empire, the neo-classicism of the middle and the end of the XIX century. Small differences between them are based on the preferences of a particular era of antiquity.
The walls of rectangular rooms are already separated from the ceilings by curtain rods or entablature, and the planes of the walls are clearly distinguished from each other. In large rooms, walls are divided by pilasters and semi-columns. Ceilings are often treated with caissons; applied studedeporty and friezes.

In the ornament style of Louis XVI can be noted two varieties of themes: antique and those associated with nature and rural life. This style is characterized by lightness, airiness, shine, rounded furniture, covered with embossed fabric and leather, tapestries and wall paintings, amazingly beautiful artistic parquet, the manufacture of which uses up to 40 types of wood, intricate drapes and drapes on the windows, rich chandeliers.
