Finishing work. PRODUCTION OF PLASTER WORKS. 4. Types of ordinary plaster

In terms of accuracy and quality of performance, the plaster is divided into three types: simple (under the falcon), improved (as a rule) and high-quality (according to the beacons). For the production of plastering work use hand tools shown in Fig. 9.1.

A simple plaster consists of a splash and 1 ... 2 layers of soil, no covering layer. Manual application and leveling of the mortar is done with a plastering blade and a falcon. For leveling and grouting mortar used graters, poluterki, the rules of different lengths. By smoothing and grouting, a relatively even and smooth surface is obtained. Apply a simple plaster when finishing outbuildings, basements, warehouses. The total thickness of a simple plaster does not exceed 12 mm; when applying a measuring ruler to the surface, it is allowed to have no more than two gaps up to 5 mm each on a length of 2 m.

Improved plaster is performed with the application of a layer of spray, one or several layers of soil with leveling, and a covering layer with grouting. The alignment of the surface is performed more qualitatively by the rule or with the help of a taster. The total thickness of the improved plaster is up to 15 mm; it is permissible on a wall section of 2 m to have no more than two gaps up to 3 mm.

High-quality plaster must be carried out according to beacons, it consists of applying one layer of spray, one or several layers of soil with leveling, and also a covering layer with leveling and grouting. The leveling of the soil is carried out by the rule on the beacons, the covering of the covering layer is carried out with a wooden or felt grater. The average total thickness of high-quality plaster can reach 20 mm, on a length of 2 m you can have no more than two gaps up to 2 mm. Grout the surface carried out only lime-sand or cement-sand mortar.
