Romanesque style is used extremely rarely, with more often in the layout and appearance of the building than in the interior.
This style was formed in the era of the early Middle Ages, and the severity of the mores of that time then left its mark on the Romanesque style.
An important element of the interior was an open hearth, which ended with an exhaust canopy - a visor. In the evening, he gave additional lighting.

In the ceremonial halls, rooms of castles and rich city houses, stone walls were sometimes decorated with paintings, partly covered with decorative fabrics, often of Oriental origin; wood cladding was used. In the 11th — 12th centuries, small stained glass windows appeared - glazing in the form of a mosaic of small colored glass, fastened with lead “slabs”. But in general, even the most ceremonial rooms in the Romanesque architecture have kept the simplicity, conciseness and severity of decoration.

There was little furniture - benches, coffers, which served as seats, were located along the walls, a few stools and chairs with a high backrest. Chests used as beds. The main artistic means of decorating furniture was carving and often coloring in bright colors, wrought iron linings were also used. At this time there are cabinets of the simplest type. Rectangular tables instead of legs were often supported by two side shields connected by bars. The furniture of the Romanesque time was rough and in the decoration is close to the basic, very simple forms of folk craftsmanship.

The main elements of the ornament are geometric motifs, in particular braided basket, rosettes, stylized flowers, fantastic plants, ribbons, winding stems with vines, birds, animals.
