They are more accessible, because they can be chosen independently in the forest, in the field or at the dacha. They do not fade and can therefore be used year-round. Astrologers believe that dried flowers and, in general, any dried plants are a kind of accumulator of natural energy that helps people find constancy in feelings and emotions.

You should know that not all flowers used in traditional floristics are suitable for making compositions from dried flowers. Flowers prone to abundant water consumption (for example, lilies), and flowers with such delicate and delicate petals as those of narcissus, hyacinth, tulip, as well as other spring flowers, are practically not amenable to drying.

The best dried flowers are obtained from resistant flowers such as hydrangea, amaranth, yarrow, rose. Exotic protei and leukodendrons will also decorate any composition of dried flowers. To create such compositions not only dried flowers are used, but also dried fruits, branches and leaves, and cereals. Additionally, it is possible to decorate a bouquet of dried flowers using fragments of marine life, pebbles, beads, various cords and jewelry.

Dried flowers are a wonderful element of floral interior decoration, especially those in which there is no possibility to constantly use live bouquets. Bouquets of dried flowers will be a real decoration of offices and offices, restaurants and conference rooms. However, we should not forget that, in general, dried flowers lose in decorative respect to the bouquets of fresh cut flowers, so it is best to look exactly the composition of dried flowers, rather than individual flowers.

It should be remembered about the features of the care of dried flowers. With them you can "blow off" the dust with a vacuum cleaner; additional resistance to the bouquet can be given by treating the flowers with hairspray. For the "sketches" of dried flowers, choose plants that, when dried, do not lose their shape and color: immortelle, physalis with orange balls-boxes, panicled gypsophilia, etc. If you are familiar with the secrets of drying using calcined sand, salt, semolina, or silica gel, you will be able to preserve many ordinary wildflowers and even capricious roses, lilies, and terry dahlias. The material is collected at different times, in the period of greatest decorativeness: for some plants it is spring, for others - the flowering period, and for the third - the autumn time of fruit ripening. When making dry compositions, you can also use branches of trees and shrubs with fruits (sea buckthorn, barberry, snowberry), aquatic species (cattail, canna, sedge), cereals, pine cones, spruce and cedar, nuts, stones, shells, moss. Anything will serve as a “dish”: wire, paper, foam plastic, dry branches, bark of trees, weaving from straw, plasticine, porous stones.

The main forms of bouquets are the same as in freshly cut plants. True, such compositions are worth much longer, for which they are loved by many housewives. In the open sun, dried flowers lose their color in about a year, and they are able to survive for several years away from direct sunlight. That's just to clean them from dust - quite time-consuming task. You can use a hairdryer or vacuum cleaner, and even special anti-static sprays are sold in flower shops.

Walls can be decorated with collages of dried flowers. These paintings are most often created on a watercolor background using flat dried flowers and additional materials - fabrics, paper, leather. The collage plots have much in common with the plots of landscape painting (storm at sea, winter evening) or abstract art.
