Houseplants bring something to our lives. This "something" everyone can formulate for themselves in different ways: a craving for nature, the desire to achieve harmony, aesthetic satisfaction, psychological relief. However, homemade compositions can be made so that they will have not only an “applied character”, i.e. to heal the air, but also just to please the eye.
Size your fantasies
In modern homes you can see monsteras, pelagornias, balsam (popularly called the flame, lens, girlish beauty, or wet pelt), ficus, and so on. They were still loved by our great-grandmothers, they live in their current homes. However, today the market offers dozens and hundreds of species of other plants.
By the nature and size of the plant composition is extremely diverse - from a desktop miniature to a large volume-spatial part of the winter garden. And to each type of an interior there correspond own models of compositions. The tightness of a small apartment, for example, makes us prefer vertical gardening of rooms. For this, plants with plants are fixed on brackets near the main walls and columns, placed on decorative grids, glazed partitions and screens that serve as a support for creeping and climbing plants - thus, the space seems to be divided into separate zones or corners.
Wherever architectural planning of housing allows, you can use niches, arches, the entrance to the apartment and window openings. For example, “flower chandeliers” suspended from the ceiling are very beautiful - flowerpots with plants, mounted on metal holders. Such a vertical option will allow you to maximize the greening of the room, while not occupying space on the floor, window sills, bedside tables and other "scarce" places. Naturally, the larger the room, the larger the flowers should be and the greater their number. In this respect, treelike plants, especially such large-leafed species, such as dracaena, philodendron or Bengal ficus, which have a beautiful view in apartments, where there is little furniture, in halls and hallways, have exclusively decorative qualities.
