Types of natural lighting

Natural illumination of the premises is carried out: side light - through the light openings in the outer walls or through the transparent parts of the walls, made of hollow glass blocks; top - through the light apertures arranged in the coating or through the transparent parts of the coating; combined - through the light openings in the coating and walls or through the transparent fences of coatings and walls.

The use of one of the three listed natural lighting systems depends on the purpose and size of the room, on the requirements for lighting, as well as on the location of the room in the building plan. In buildings with large areas, lanterns or transparent parts of coatings made of glass-reinforced concrete are predominant for natural lighting.
