The main factors affecting the artistic decision of furniture

Familiarization with the main features of modern furniture allows you to identify the main factors affecting its artistic decision (Fig. 1). These include primarily the socio-economic conditions of society.

One of the main features of modern furniture - its conditionality by the purpose of the building - can be attributed to the factors influencing the artistic design of furniture, the state and level of architecture. The purpose of the architectural structure and its decision determines the types, set and type of furniture products. The architectural and planning structure of buildings and premises in it significantly affects the size of products. The direction of the artistic decision of the architectural structure also dictates the direction of the decision of the furniture.

The conformity of the furniture product to the functional and technological process also affects the choice of set and type of furniture products, their internal structure and size.

Modern furniture is a product of mass industrial production. Therefore, one of the significant factors influencing its shaping is the production conditions and the materials used. This factor especially affects the design and appearance of furniture.
