Works in winter conditions. Quality control of earthworks

The processes of building earthworks are systematically monitored by checking:

■ the position of the grooves and embankments in space (in plan and high-altitude);

■ geometric dimensions of earthworks;

■ the properties of soils lying at the base of the structures;

■ properties of soils used to build bulk structures;

■ quality of laying soil in embankments and backfilling (characteristics of the laid and compacted soils).

Constant control over the quality of work performed by engineering and technical workers, operational control is produced with the involvement of representatives of the geodetic service and the construction laboratory.

When monitoring the position in space and the size of structures check: the location on the plan of earthworks and their size; mark brovok and bottom grooves; the level of the top of the embankments, taking into account the stock on the draft; marks of planned surfaces, slope slopes of grooves and embankments. This control is carried out with the help of geodetic instruments, as well as the simplest instructions.
